Three rescued in fire drama

CHARRED: Smoke damage at the flats.
THREE people were rescued and other families fled to safety when a blaze — believed to have been started deliberately — broke out in the early morning at a block of flats in Helensburgh.
A woman was saved by a turntable ladder, while her son and her partner were led to safety by fire crews and had to receive oxygen after suffering the effects of smoke inhalation.
The two-hour fire drama started outside an empty flat in Jutland Court at around 2am on Friday.
