Call of the Clan
By By Steve McElroy
A CENTURIES-old rallying call of the Clan Colquhoun will be heard once again during a four-day gathering on Loch Lomondside.
The annual reunion of the Colquhouns and Septs — including Cowan, Kirkpatrick, Kilpatrick and McLintock — is being held at Luss from tomorrow (Friday).
This year’s gathering is a special one, as the Clan Colquhoun Society (UK) celebrates it’s 10th anniversary since re-establishment. Two previous attempts to establish the society, in 1896 and 1966, ended after a few months.
The current society, reformed in 1998, boasts clan members on five continents and has held gatherings in Luss since 1999.
taking place from 9.30am.
