MARINES gather at the Commando munument.

ROYAL Marines veterans from all over the country journeyed to Spean Bridge recently to remember their comrades past and present.

They were joined by 16 representatives from the Fleet Protection Group (FPG) based at Faslane .

The annual Royal Marines Association parade, which takes place in the area, near Fort William, brings together ex and serving commandos, as well as their families and friends.

Among the 16 men who had travelled north from their Clyde base was Officer in Charge Colonel Richard Spencer, along with the FPG’s Padre the Rev. David Devenney.
