Cafe features in new TV drama
By Andrea McCallum
A HELENSBURGH cafe was taken over by a BBC crew earlier this week after it was chosen as the location for a brand new Scottish TV series.
On Monday, a 50-strong team arrived at Dino’s in West Clyde Street to film a scene for the eight-part drama series Hope Springs.
Cafe manager Karl Giarchi closed the restaurant for the day and even got a small part in the scene as an extra carrying coffee. He said: “It was a brilliant day and it was fantastic to see all the different departments working together as a team. Everyone was very nice and now I’ll just have to watch and see which episode we will appear in!"
