Library closure
By Fiona Howard
COVE Library has been closed this week to allow major structural work to be carried out on the community-owned Cove Burgh Hall.
The work was aimed at solving a water ingress problem, on the facade above the library roof.
The rest of the hall was open as normal and bookings were able to go ahead as planned.
Pat McCann, Helensburgh’s chief librarian said: “Anyone who wants to change their books can do so at the library in Rosneath, which is open at the same times as Cove, in the village school.
“If the closure runs into a second week we will look at the mobile library service or perhaps opening Rosneath library for extra hours.”
And he assured readers that anyone who cannot take their books to Rosneath or to the mobile libray will NOT have to pay overdue fines caused by the closure.
