UFO 'looked like a plane on fire'

A HELENSBURGH man, washing his dishes on Monday, looked out of his kitchen window and thought he saw a plane about to crash.

But now he is looking to hear from anyone else who saw the strange phenomenon which he now believes was a UFO.

Lewis Graham, a graphic artist, was working at the sink in his Lomond Street flat just before seven o"clock when he saw the fiery red object pass across the window.

He said: 'At first I thought it was a plane on fire or a helicopter. Then I thought it was an asteroid descending!

'It was silent and appeared to have a single red light to the rear. It must have been really low as there was nearly 100 per cent cloud cover.

'It remained stationery over what I reckon was Cardross then got dimmer and vanished.

'I"ve never seen anything like it and at one point I panicked and thought about taking cover as I thought it was going to plummet down to earth!'

He added: 'I noticed other people stopping in the street to look and some even stopped their cars and got out.

'It seemed to come from the Faslane direction and went straight across towards Cardross before it stopped and then gradually faded away.

'It must have been very low because there was a lot of cloud and no stars.

'It was just really weird, really strange.'

Lewis took a moment to switch everything off in his house so that he could hear any noise it made but it was completely silent.

He went on: 'I am a keen amateur astronomer and I know my stars and planets but until now I have always been an unbeliever when it comes to UFOs but now I believe.'

Lewis reported his sighting to the UK UFO Sightings website and found that a very similar sighting had been reported on January 19 over Partick as well as others in England.

I witnessed the exactly same thing night last at about 1:45 am. I saw it on my bedroom\'s window and, just like Lewis Graham, i first thaught it was a plane on fire. I was sure it was to crash but then i put my head out the window and there were 3 identical flying objects like fire orbs moving at the same speed in the same direction.

I took my phone and recorded the event but you can\'t distinguish anything in the video. Then I woke my parents and we all watched them until they faded away. The ships or whatever they are, weren\'t making any sound which is not possible for a thing moving at that speed. And this is not all. After 5 min. another fire orb appeared from the same direction flying a little bit higher than the other ones. I never seen anything like this. I live in the S-E of Romania at about 40 km from the capital of Bucharest.

around 8.30 last night me and my friend went for a drive an when we stopped at a fish shop in bloxwich, walsall lots of people came running outside looking up and pointing at the sky. when i looked up i saw what appeared to be a plane on fire about to crash even a police officer had witnessed it. it baffeled us all. the police and fire engines and helicopters were all out followin it.

I too saw a red plane at 10.45pm, 10 February 2010.

It came from the opposite path of normal planes flying out (West London, Southall). I thought OMG a plane is on fire. It was flying low but there was no noise. It continued on its path for a few seconds until it disappeared out into the distance. I was a bit shell shocked as I thought I was witnessing an areoplane crash..But there has been no reportings.......
