Rugby hell as training starts

With the off-season now shorter than Paris Hilton’s micro-skirt, those who have turned fit to fat since last season ended are invited to shed pounds the hard way with Stevie.

Training will begin at 2pm sharp every Saturday, and at 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday nights from now on.

Pre-season games have already been arranged with the first only a month away and it is vital that fitness work and ball skills can be worked on by Stevie and his assistant coaches.

A club spokesman said: “Helensburgh has long had a tradition of being a friendly and welcoming club and if there are any budding, or fully bloomed, rugby players who live in the area and fancy joining the club, they should get along to pre-season training at the first opportunity
