CHAMPIONS: The victorious Helensburgh Under 15 side

Helendburgh U15s recovered from a stuttering start to win the Glasgow North Division Two title.

A lack of numbers forced the side to forfeit its very first match but an impressive run of form in the lead up to Christmas ensured the title was well within the team’s grasp.

In fact, the boys wrapped the league up in style, finishing unbeaten.

The crucial result was a win against a more mature Cambuslang side, who they pipped to the league title on points difference.

This season, the side have grown physically and mentally, playing some attractive rugby along the way.

Key to the success has been a core of players who earlier represented Hermitage Academy in the Argyll and Bute school sports — where they also emerged unbeaten. Congratulations from Sport Scene.
