A FEAST of food, drink, live music and family entertainment will return to Loch Lomond Shores for its 11th year.

The Loch Lomond Food and Drink Festival is set to attract almost 30,000 festival goers to the area on Saturday September 3 and Sunday September 4.

The festival has something for everyone with a n array of national suppliers. There will be a licensed bar, wine served from a converted horse box and drop-in cookery demos on subjects such as cooking with ingredients found in the wild, cake decorating, and creating dishes with local Scottish ingredients.

Budding junior chefs can attend free cooking sessions for kids and Saturday, September 3 will see a mini petting zoo with all manner of furry creatures, reptiles and creepy crawlies.

McIntosh Foods, sponsors of the vent are adding to the line-up of activities with their haggis eating contest, sure to be a favourite event.

Their mascot Mr Macaroni will also be in attendance helping families in the Mr Macaroni trail and the colouring competition.

There is also a new food selfie competition with a prize of £100 up for grabs.

Kat Kennedy, event organiser said,’ We have been working hard to secure a diverse selection of producers for the festival and we’re sure visitors won’t be disappointed by the excellent selection of foods and drinks on offer from across the country and beyond.

“There is a vibrant mix of live entertainment on offer too, from music to cooking demos, wild food walks and much more. All we ask from visitors is that they bring their appetite!”
