THE growing reputation of the Mackintosh Club in Helensburgh is set to spread further when three fantastic folk acts play at the Sinclair Street venue next week.

Evering is an an acoustic duo formed by Scottish singer-songwriters Chris Yendell (Helensburgh) and Dawn Coulshed (The Black Isle) with the common goal of creating an original sound within an indie/folk genre.

The second artist on the bill is Daudi Matsiko, a Ugandan singer-songwriter and guitarist who was born and raised in the UK, carefully crafts modern albeit reverent folk.

The line-up is completed by the mesmerising Izzie Yardley, whose hypnotic voice soars over intricate melodies driven by guitar or piano.

Next week's gig follows hard on the heels of the use of the Mackintosh Club for the filming of a new video for the folk group Barluath, whose line-up includes Cardross singer-songwriter Ainsley Hamill.

The cabaret-style evening at the club (entrance next to M&Co, if you haven't visited yet!) is on Tuesday, May 30, beginning at 7pm.
