TICKETS are now on sale for this years Helensburgh Theatre Arts pantomime.

Alice in Pantoland will run from December 7-9 in the Victoria Halls. It was written by Kyle Rapallini, who is also directing this years production for the third time.

Rehearsals are well underway and Kyle has been thoroughly impressed with the level of talent.

He said: "This years cast have been amazing. I've worked with a lot of them before but the new faces have really impressed.

"Some of the main cast are trained actors so as much as this is an amateur production they bring a real sense of professionalism to this year, and along with the seasoned regulars, the general ensemble just works so well.

"This is the first year I personally have directed a junior chorus, which I was hesitant at first as I've never worked with youngsters of that age before, but they have been outstanding.

"They give it their all every rehearsal and watching our choreographer Danielle Pearson and music director Sarah Grant with them has been such a joy to watch."

With Sunday rehearsals sometimes lasting more than four hours the cast are feeling ready for the opening night in a weeks time.

Kyle continued: "With a week to go until the opening show I feel very optimistic about where the rehearsals are at and it all comes to life as we add the props and costumes.

"This year we plan to bring lots of fun, excitement entertainment and colour along with some crazy performances because let's face it we all go a little mad sometimes."

The show from Thursday to Saturday will begin at 7.30pm and the Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £8.50 and are available from the Victoria Halls or on the door.
