Lalla Baxter joined 30 of her family and friends at the Rosslea Hall Hotel in Rhu.
She received a special delivery on behalf of HRH Queen Elizabeth II - by getting a birthday telegram.
During the party, Gillian Aitkenhead, Vice Lord Lieutenant, and a representative of the queen, presented Lalla with the telegram which took pride of place at the table throughout the afternoon.
Lalla moved to Helensburgh in 1955, and has undertaken voluntary work for arthritis charity ARC as well as St Andrews West Kirk.
She has been a widow for 48 years.
Don McGregor, general manager at Rosslea Hall Hotel, said: “Lalla is a familiar face in the area and has been very involved in the local area, so we were delighted that her family chose the hotel for such a milestone birthday celebration.
“By all accounts, everyone had a wonderful time.”
