BEN MAGGS, award winning contemporary folk artist is coming to Arrochar.
Since the release of his new album ‘Come as you are’, in November 2015, Ben has been touring all over the UK but the ‘Come as you are’ tour will be in Scotland this year.
Whilst on tour Ben will play in the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow he is keen to bring his music to the more remote communities.
He said: “When we set about planning this leg of the tour, I wanted to make sure I had gigs in the Highlands and Islands as well as the cities. It’s so exciting that the wonderful folk of these communities have jumped on board so enthusiastically.”
The debut album draws on his experiences and adventures around the British Isles with no plans or maps. This leg of the tour has great significance for him.
He added: “When I first set foot on the Isle of Mull seven years ago I felt like I had come home. This amazing land and its people have become a huge inspiration for my songs and sparked many an evolution in my writing and storytelling.”
Ben has performed sell out headline shows and will support The Proclaimers on their forthcoming UK tour and having already received rave reviews from music journalists, he is not to be missed.
Ben will play in the Three Villages Hall in Arrochar on May 21, with the possibility of more dates being added to the tour.
