PICTURED here are pupils from the Margaret Rose School of Dance in Helensburgh with the trophies awarded at their recent annual show.

The show, held in the town’s Victoria Halls, was a fantastic success, with many of those present saying they thought it was the best show ever.

The trophies were for the most improved junior and senior dancers in hip-hop, stage and Highland dancing.

Margaret MacInnes, who founded what is one of Scotland’s biggest and best-known dance schools, said: “The children all enjoyed the show. I was delighted and proud of every child on the stage.”

Dancers have performed worldwide since the school’s formation in 1972, with visits to Russia, France and trips to more than 30 CIOFF International Folklore Festivals among the lengthy roll of honour.
