Detectives have renewed their appeal for information from the public following a significant break-in and theft at a Helensburgh boutique.

Zest for Life in West Clyde Street, which sells high-end beauty products, handbags and accessories, was targeted in the early hours of Monday, July 18.

As reported in last week's Advertiser, the items stolen included skincare products from the Dermatologica range, retailing for between £25 and £75, and around two hundred Image Skincare products, including a neck cream which retails for £130.

Nora Bode, Caci Serum and Tea Tree Oz body care products were also stolen, along with handbags from the Smith and Canova, Claudia Canova, LYDC, Anna Smith, Gessy, DS UK and Key West ranges.

Detective Constable Peter Jarvis said: “Many of these items are expensive to buy and can only be purchased from authorised sellers. Whoever has stolen these items may be trying to get rid of them by offering them for sale at a reduced price.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have any information or who may be aware of any skin care products being sold at a reduced rate to contact police.”

Officers have been collecting CCTV footage from around the area to review in the hope that it provides additional information for the enquiry team.

Anyone with information is asked to call CID officers at Helensburgh police office on 101.
