ST MODANS Church held their annual summer fete recently attracting crowds to the variety of stalls while raising funds.

The fete held on Saturday, July 16 offered the public who attended the chance to explore, pick up a bargain and catch up with others who attended.

The church hall was open for people to have a sit down with a cup of tea or coffee and have a chat.

The stalls on the day included home baking, various toys, produce and books all of which proved popular. There was also a tombola for people to take part in.

The fete raised just over £2,000 due to the generous people who attended.

Before the fete the minister also dedicated a memorial to Isabel Calderwood in the church grounds which was attended by her family. Isobel had been a founding member of the Friends of St Modan’s and an elder in the church before she passed away in 3013.

The fundraising committee would like to thank everyone who attended, who hosted a stall, and who helped in any way for their support and their efforts to make the fete such a success.
