THE Rugby Club lent their muscle, on one of the hottest days of the year, to help with a community project.
With several tough tree stumps needing removed at the site of the former James Street Swing Park, the Community Garden Group called in the services of volunteers from Helensburgh Rugby Club.
The six volunteers were soon feeling the heat while they battled against the stumps
The James Street Community Garden Group extend their thanks to Ben Wain, Luke Morrow, Anne Thomson, Louise McCloy, Amy Peebles and Georgia Sterry for all their hard work and determination.
The James Street improvement work is being carried out entirely by a small group of volunteers
A spokesperson for the group said: “It is a community project run by the community for the community and the more people who get involved, the faster the site will be useable again.
“The aim is to make the area somewhere nice that people can sit and children can play outside and we are grateful for any offers of help.”
