THE votes have been cast and counted and we can now reveal the winner of the Helensburgh Advertiser Pet Idol competition for 2016.
The overwhelming winner, taking the title by 40 votes was Lottie the dog. Lottie received an impressive 134 votes making her the clear winner.
Lottie’s owners now have a £300 cash prize and hopefully Lottie will have some treats for her efforts in winning the Helensburgh public over.
Taking second place in the contest was Harry the Guinea pig with 94 votes and Gus the dog took third place, receiving 51 votes in total.
Thank you to everyone who entered their pet and to everyone who took part and voted for their favourite.
Congratulations to winner Lottie and her owners and all who made it to the final stage of voting in the top 10 – Boo, Buster and Zena, Charlie, Hershey, Lola, Poppy, Sasha, runner up Harry and third place Gus.
