HELENSBURGH Music Society present Icaria Duo for their last concert of the season this weekend.
The Icaria Duo consist of Helena Gourd on flute and Catherine Derrick on harp who met whilst studying at the Royal Academy of Music. They endeavour to push the boundaries of the flute and harp framework, and are rapidly expanding their repertoire and performance experience.
They have performed for the Concordia Foundation. They were winners on the Tunnell Trust young artist programme, which has allowed them to go on tour and give concerts throughout Scotland.
Their programme will include Histoire du Tango - Piazzolla, Sonata for Flute and Harp- Donizetti, Carmen Fantasy- Borne.
The duo are set to perform on Saturday, March 18 at 7pm in the Victoria Halls.
