POLICE in Helensburgh are appealing for witnesses after a car was stolen from outside a home in the town.
The white Vauxhall Antara was taken from outside a house in Armstrong Road, in the Colgrain area, between 2.10am and 8am on Sunday, March 19.
The vehicle's owner, Amanda Logan, said: "They broke into the house while we were in bed.
"They took the keys and £40 that was lying on the table, but I think they just wanted the car, because there were other valuables lying nearby which weren't touched."
Inspector Coleen Wylie from Helensburgh police office said: “If you have any information relating to the theft, or saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area at the time, please call Helensburgh CID via 101.”
In a separate incident, police are also investigating the theft of a dingy from Rhu Sailing Club between March 12 and 17.
The dinghy is described as grey and white in colour. If you have any information please call Helensburgh office via 101.
