THE Tower is set to play host to Edinburgh band The Blueswater once again as part of their UK tour.

The band last played in Helensburgh in October last year and due to the reception they received, decided they would come back on their tour.

Felipe Schrieberg, the band’s frontman, said: “We had an excellent time when we played here in October last year. It was so good we decided we just had to come back! It’s a wonderful space and the audience was incredibly warm and appreciative.”

“Last time we were playing our show Blues!, a history of the entire genre. This time it’s going to be more uptempo and less formal, which we think will work well.”

As well as a night in Helensburgh, the tour will see the band perform 11 gigs across Scotland, England and Wales entertaining crowds with their “gritty, old-school” rhythm and blues influences.

Audiences can expect a high energy performance with guitar riffs and harmonica solos build around driving rhythms to create a unique sound.

The band are set to perform their second night of the tour at the Tower on April 11, with doors opening at 7.30pm.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance, priced at £15 for adults, £13 for students and concessions, £10 for children and £12 for members, from https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/event/EKGHFK or at the box office at The Tower
