MEMBERS of the Enable ladies' group in Helensburgh will take part in a sponsored 'wear a hat' day this week in memory of a support worker with the charity.
The day-long event, to raise funds for the Brain Tumour Research charity, is in memory of Amanda Provan, who died six years ago aged 29 after a battle with a brain tumour.
Amanda's best friend, Mandy Sweeney, has set up an online donations page with a fund-raising target of £250 for the charity – to support their cause, go to www.justgiving.com and search for 'Mmandy Sweeney' (two Ms).
The Wear a Hat day is a national initiative by Brain Tumour Research and takes place on Friday, March 31 – give the Helensburgh group a wave and a donation if you see them around the town!
