SOROPTIMIST International is holding an evening of entertainment with a dance competition based on the popular Strictly Come Dancing TV show as the star attraction to raise funds for Barnardo’s Scotland.

The Scotland South Region branch of the Soroptimists is inviting locals to a glittering fundraising event on Saturday, June 2 at the Macdonald Inchyra Grange Hotel, near Falkirk.

Event organiser Marian Sapcote said: “We are really excited to be raising money for Barnardo’s Scotland as they provide invaluable services to children and young people throughout Scotland.

"This is a great opportunity for people and businesses to show their support for a very worthy cause. The aim of the event is to have a fun-natured competitive evening while making a difference to the local community.”

Deborah Grossman, the charity’s community fundraising manager, said: “We are so thankful to Marian and everyone from the Soroptimist International Scotland South Region for organising this amazing fundraising evening.

"The money raised at this event will be vital to helping us continue the support we provide to vulnerable children and young people. It looks like it’s going to be a great night and I hope locals get behind them to raise as much money as possible.”

Tickets for the 7.30pm event cost £30 and include a two-course meal with coffee, professional entertainment, a Strictly-style dance competition and a raffle. To book or to donate a raffle prize, please contact SISSRegion@gmail.com by May 2.
