THE commemorative centenary book outlining the history of the Boys Brigade is now complete and available for a donation.

'The Boys Brigade in Helensburgh 100 years of continuous service' was written by the company's former chaplain Rev David Clark, who is also a local historian and chairman of the Helensburgh Heritage Trust.

A copy of the book will be given to those attending the centenary service at Helensburgh Parish Church at 11am on May 14.

The service will be followed by lunch at Ardencaple Hotel, Rhu. Places are limited and those interested in attending are asked to get in touch for a ticket.

Tickets for the lunch are priced at £16 and any profits will go to the Children's Hospice Association Scotland.

Copies of the book are also available from Helensburgh Parish Church office for a minimum donation of £2.
