VOTERS in Helensburgh Central should take note of a small but significant change to the polling places in their ward at this Thursday's Argyll and Bute Council elections.

Instead of the Red Cross hall in East Princes Street, which has been used as a polling station in the town for many years, people living at the eastern end of the town centre ward, in polling districts 112 and 113, should go to the Templeton Building annexe at the Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre in East Clyde Street to cast their vote on Thursday.

The Civic Centre has already been at the centre of an administrative mistake in this election: eagle-eyed voters in the above polling districts spotted that their polling cards initially said the Civic Centre was in East Princes Street, not East Clyde Street.

The council issued replacement polling cards to all voters affected by the error.

Your polling card contains all the information you'll need about where to cast your vote: you don't need to take your card with you to vote on Thursday, though it may save some time if you do.
