THE Friends of Hermitage Park are preparing to host a coffee morning this weekend.
The event will feature bric-a-brac and home baking and will be held in the United Reformed Church on Saturday, August 12 from 10.30am-12.30pm.
The coffee morning runs on the same day as the Summer Festival Market in the Square where the Friends will also have a stall selling plants.
Members will be on hand to provide information on the work in the park at both venues and also selling their shopping bags and new Christmas cards which feature a picture of the War Memorial in the snow, which was taken by Chris Sanders.
There will also be a raffle for a bottle of whisky and anyone who is able to help at the coffee morning or the stall is asked to get in touch.
Donations of home baking and bric-a-brac, preserves and plants would also be gratefully received.
Anyone looking to make a donation or to volunteer to help out is asked to drop donations at the United Reformed Church between 9.30am and 10am on Saturday, or call 01436 820334 to arrange collection.
All proceeds are going to the ongoing projects in the park, including the new dipping ponds.
