A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of causing damage outside Helensburgh Central railway station.

The 19-year-old was arrested on December 9 at 7.30 for allegedly striking a glass panel, causing damage, behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, and resisting arrest.

He was taken to Clydebank police office and appeared at court the following day.

POLICE are appealing for information after graffiti was discovered on a wall on James Street, Helensburgh.

The graffiti was discovered between December 9 and 10. Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to contact Helensburgh Police Office on 101.

A 17-year-old man has been charged with alleged possession of a controlled drug in Helensburgh.

He was charged in Sinclair Street at 4pm on November 22. A report has been forwarded to the procurator fiscal.

A 22-year-old woman is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal for allegedly speeding on Hall Road in Rhu.

The woman was stopped by police at 1pm on December 10.

Police in Helensburgh are continuing to carry out road safety patrols and speed checks across the Helensburgh and Lomond areas.
