TRAINS to and from Helensburgh are subject to alteration over the New Year holiday period.

Last trains on December 31 – 7.40pm Edinburgh-Helensburgh, 8.57pm Airdrie-Helensburgh; 7.55pm Helensburgh-Edinburgh, 8.55pm Helensburgh-Bathgate.

Normal timetables resume on January 3.

On Christmas Eve the last trains on the West Highland line via Helensburgh Upper and Garelochhead are the 6.2pm Glasgow-Oban/Mallaig, 4.05pm Mallaig-Glasgow and 6.11pm Oban-Glasgow.

There are no West Highland line trains on January 2, but a normal service resumes on January 3.

Meanwhile, the Kilcreggan ferry will not operate from December 31 to January 2, but a normal weekday timetable is back in operation from January 3.
