FOR today's trip down Helensburgh's memory lane we go back ten years to a Green Day at Hermitage Primary School in the town.
Here's how we reported their efforts in the Advertiser on March 13, 2008...

ECO-CONSCIOUS youngsters at Hermitage Primary went green for the day to raise awareness of the environment.
The school’s Eco-committee organised the Green Day to celebrate achieving their Eco schools Bronze Award and to launch their appeal to achieve silver status by June 2008.
Pupils and staff were allowed to swap their red and grey uniforms for green clothes, hats and wigs if they brought in a family pledge to help the environment. The committee were delighted when more than 200 families sent in pledges.
