A PLANNING application has been lodged for the demolition of the former library building in Garelochhead.

Argyll and Bute Council planning officials have been asked to give the green light to have the building in Feorlin Way demolished.

The library in Garelochhead closed in 2010, and in late 2016 the Advertiser revealed that the council had paid out more than £10,000 in non-domestic rates on the building since the facility’s closure.

The application, and associated paperwork, can be viewed on the council’s website by searching for the code 18/00747/PNDEM.
