Police have vowed to keep checks on motorcycle speeds between Arrochar and Ardgartan.
The move follows concerns raised by community councillors about bikers speeding after leaving the 40mph zone at the head of Loch Long.
Police say a motorcycle safety campaign started at the end of March, with speed detection and advice given to bikers.
Community councillors have also told police there is a constant problem with wood lorries speeding through Arrochar, especially in the early morning.
The community council meeting was told the traffic police had proper laser equipment which was very accurate but if the local police wished to do proper speed detection they borrowed equipment from the MOD. The meeting was told "the technology is there but the funding isn’t".
