Mike and Sue Thornley will be giving a guided heritage walk around Glenarn Gardens, Rhu, on Sunday, April 29 at 2.30pm.
The walk aims to bring to life the Victorian history of the garden and Glenarn House, how the house was built and how the garden was originally laid out, with all its 19th century features. At a peak time for early flowering, the walk will also cover the horticultural story: how the plants came to be at Glenarn and its development from a Victorian large country villa to the west coast garden that we see today.
Please meet at the gate. (Normal entry charge applies).
