A FUND-RAISING casino night will be held in Helensburgh next month to help launch a new local charity.

The event, at the Commodore Hotel, will raise money for the Gary Andrews Remember A Life lung cancer charity.

Gary, from Garelochhead, passed away in 2013 from the disease and now his wife Kelly Andrews, 36, has set up the trust in his name to keep his memory alive.

Kelly has dedicated her time to raising money and awareness, and to date has raised more than £10,000 for the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, but has now set up the trust to see the money make a difference locally.

The charity casino night on Saturday, June 9, is set to start the fundraising for the trust, and will run from 6.30pm until 12.30am. There will also be a disco and buffet included.

Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased by calling Kelly on 07714 419 758.
