CHANGES to the provision of advice services in Argyll and Bute have been given provisional approval by council chiefs.
A recent meeting of the authority’s policy and resources committee, agreed in principle on a new strategy for the delivery of advice services, including those offered by Argyll and Bute Citizens Advice Bureau.
It was also agreed that the direction of the strategy would be by working in partnership with others, to provide a strategic lead role in policy development.
It would also provide core intervention work to the vulnerable in the area’s ‘Promotion Prevention Invervention’ communities, and to support other external agencies to give clients advice.
While agreed in principle, it was requested that a detailed paper is produced for the committee’s next meeting on Thursday, August 16.
