ORGANISERS of a two-day music festival at Loch Lomond have again changed the location of their autumn event.

Loch Lomond Live, which claims to boast a weekend of top music, family fun and food and drink, is set to take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 22 and 23.

Last week, organisers claimed to have secured a deal to host the event in Luss, however it is now understood the new location – in Drymen – “lent itself to more opportunities including additional attractions, better parking conditions and an improved VIP area”.

A spokeswoman for Luss Estates said the event was “not appropriate” for Luss.

She added: “Primarily, this is on account of the pressure that would be placed on the inadequate infrastructure of Luss, already under great strain due to visitor management and traffic issues, and the consequent effects on local residents.

“Sir Malcolm Colquhoun, Luss Estates chairman, has indicated any future events proposed for Luss should not be to the detriment of the long suffering local community. He affirms his personal interest in ensuring that this is so.”
