Determined young beach cleaners braved the wind and rain to go litter picking in Rosneath.

The clean-up was organised by friends Campbell Baker and Jack Kimmett.

Campbell’s mum, Katie Baker, told the Advertiser: “There was a great sense of community spirit and support for this great event organised by the boys.

“It went really well. We had more than 20 volunteers turn up.

“Campbell and Jack were really pleased with the turn out and how much rubbish was collected. There has even been talk about doing another.”

Campbell said: “I decided to organise a beach clean after helping Jack’s mum Gemma to do one at Portincaple.

“I want to keep the beach clean and tidy and so that the sea life doesn’t die because they will die eating all the rubbish.”
