THE countdown is well and truly on to Helensburgh's second annual Stand Up To Cancer family festival.

Organised by the team at the town's Cancer Research UK charity shop in Sinclair Street, the event takes place at Helensburgh Cricket and Rugby Football Club's Ardencaple grounds this Sunday, September 16, between 12 noon and 5pm.

A packed programme of activities includes music from Hot Ratz, Crowded Croft and Louis Page, a display by the 'Drakes of Hazzard' duck and sheepdog team, the Animal Man mini zoo, a stilt-walking juggler, inflatables, sumo suits, family races and more.

There will also be a barbecue, bar, local stall holders, a tombola and a raffle with some amazing prizes.

Entry is £5 for adults and £3.50 for children, with every penny raised going to Cancer Research UK.

Entry wristbands are on sale from the CRUK shop in Sinclair Street and at the event.
