Meanwhile, Helensburgh police have issued a reminder to drivers to watch their speed after receiving ongoing complaints about speeding in the local area.

Recent complaints have been particularly centred on the Ardoch, Garelochhead, Cove and Clynder areas.

Inspector Coleen Wylie from Helensburgh police office said: "We would urge drivers to slow down and adhere to the speed limits, and be mindful of the risk their driving poses to other motorists and pedestrians, particularly when driving through villages and built-up areas.

"Police will be continuing their patrols in the area, taking action against drivers breaking the law, so please leave extra time for your journey."
