HELENSBURGH Savoy Musical Theatre Group hosted their annual Sing For Your Supper event to raise money for charity.

Local performing talent came together to entertain crowds and help raise as much as possible for Alzheimers Scotland.

The program on the night included the Margaret Rose Dancers, Helensburgh Oratorio Choir, Hermitage Academy students, Helensburgh Fiddlers, Mackdance Divas, the Dorian Choir and more.

The Victoria Halls were packed out with an audience who were entertained throughout the evening by the variety of talent.

The annual event saw over £1,000 raised for Alzheimers Scotland and chairperson Jane Hepworth and members of Helensburgh Savoy were able to present the cheque for £1,172 to Bronwyn O'Riordan from the Helensburgh Resource Centre.

The money will go towards running the local resource centre on West Princes Street where support is provided for those suffering from dementia and their families. They host regular activities such as knitting groups, musical events and the Drop in Cafe which is open to everyone.

Secretary of Helensburgh Savoy, Pauline Forrest, said: "The Members of Helensburgh Savoy would like to give a huge thank you to all the performing participants of the evening, as well as the audience who came to support the event.

"It is always lovely to see so much support for the variety of performing talent in and around Helensburgh. "

Helensburgh Savoy's next performance will be their Spring Concert on May 19 and 20 in the United Reformed Church Hall.

The group are hosting a Craft and Coffee day on April 22 at the United Reformed Church Hall to raise money for their Autumn Show, Sister Act, the Musical."
