FORMER pupil and Olympic sailing star Charlotte Dobson returned to Lomond School to give an inspiring talk at the 2017 prizegiving ceremony.
Hundreds of pupils and staff turned out at Helensburgh Parish Church, where Charlotte presented the school’s 2016-17 award winners with their prizes.
Chairman of the school’s board of governors, Alastair Hope, welcomed pupils and staff to the ceremony before principal Johanna Urquhart gave her report of the school’s activities during the year.
Douglas Fleming, the school’s head of music, co-ordinated a programme which included works by J.S. Bach and C.S. Lang and also featured two performances by the school’s traditional music group of arrangements by teacher Pippa Reid-Foster.
