A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been made the subject of a report to the Children's Panel this week after police investigations into a vandalism in Cove earlier this year.
The Advertiser previously reported that a rope swing at Craigrownie Park in the village had been damaged between January 31 and February 5.
Scorch marks were burned into the rope and lumps burned out of the rubber safety matting underneath the swing, installed as part of the new facilities at the park, which were opened in July 2016.
At the time of the incident Veronica Ferguson, from the community group behind the new facility, called it “senseless stupidity” and a “senseless act of vandalism”.
The damaged swing was replaced in May, with Argyll and Bute Council picking up the £800 tab for the replacement work.
