A HELENSBURGH dance school is seeking permission for the conversion of a storage facility in the town to a dance studio.
Maureen Wrench of Moe's School of Dancing has asked Argyll and Bute Council to approve a 'change of use' application for the premises at 30 West King Street.
A statement published on the local authority's website in support of the application says it is envisaged that around 20 pupils will participate in activities at the gymnastics-based dance studio at any given time.
The supporting statement, compiled by Michael Pater (Design & Build) Ltd of Ardpeaton, says that the operating hours of the studio will be between 8am and 9pm, seven days a week, and that no internal or external alterations are planned to the premises.
Mr Pater's statement continues: “It is hoped that the dance studio will provide a welcome fitness and artistic expression facility within an otherwise under-utilised building”.
Find out more about the application by searching Argyll and Bute Council's website for the application reference number, 17/01562/PP.
