A 19-YEAR-OLD man is alleged to have assaulted a police officer near the centre of Helensburgh.
Officers on patrol came across the man in Grant Street at around 10pm on October 7 and were concerned for his wellbeing.
It’s alleged that he attacked one of the officers when they approached him.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
The man was arrested and later released.
A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
