THE life and work of Robert Burns will be celebrated at a traditional Burns supper in Rhu this weekend.

The Rhu and Shandon Community Hall is playing host to the community and family event on Saturday, January 20.

Entertainment on the night will include a haggis conga, adults versus children highland fling off and Scottish dancing.

A traditional menu of soup, haggis, neeps and tatties will be served.

A selection of tablet, shortbread and cake will be served to finish.

The event will run from 5.30-8pm and those attending are invited to bring their own booze.

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults, £4 for children and £20 for a family ticket.
