THE organisers of the Bicentenary Pipe Band Championships in Helensburgh are holding a fund-raising ceilidh in the town this weekend.
The event takes place at the Commodore Hotel on Saturday, March 17, at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm.
The entertainment line-up for the evening includes folk/ceilidh/rock band Hell for Leather, pupils from the Margaret Rose School of Dance, and the town’s own Helensburgh Clan Colquhoun Pipe Band.
Tickets (£7 for adults, £3.50 for children and concessions) are available from the Commodore Hotel or from C.H. Campbell on 07710 427535.
The 2018 championships themselves will take place at the East King Street Park in Helensburgh on Sunday, June 24. Further details will be published nearer the time.
