Miss India visits loch
A TOUCH of glamour came to Loch Lomond when the reigning Miss India took a cruise on board the MV Lomond Queen.
Miss Pooja Chopra joined the vessel as part of a delegation from the Standard Chartered Group who were in Scotland for an Edinburgh-based conference.
Stuart Cordner, director at Cruise Loch Lomond based at Tarbet on Loch Lomond, said: 'Following an initial meeting with the event organisers a month ago they decided to do our "Rob Roy Discovery" cruise. This is one of our new cruises recently launched.
'The Rob Roy Discovery cruise is a two-hour cruise in the heart of Rob Roy MacGregor country. During the cruise the skipper gives a live commentary on the history of Scotland"s most celebrated outlaw.
'The cruise itinerary at the northern end of Loch Lomond takes in Rob Roy"s Prison and also Rob Roy"s Cave, as well as a couple of islands and the impressive Arklet Waterfalls.'
The delegation wanted their own vessel so they chartered the MV Lomond Queen one of the six vessels in the fleet at Cruise Loch Lomond.
Skipper Ian Cairns and crew Alistair Burns were delighted to have Miss India on board.
