The recording by local residents of David Bowie and Brian Eno"s iconic song "Heroes" is set to premiere in Helensburgh.
The event, which the organisers promise will be a celebration of music, film and community, is all set for Saturday August 1 at Helensburgh"s Victoria Hall.
And what an event it is shaping up to be! In addition to the premiere of both the recording and the video, guests will be encouraged to dance and sing along to a screening of the global smash hit musical film - Mamma Mia!, and then, if anyone has the energy, continue dancing the night away to a disco.
The whole event has been organised by the local charity Helensburgh Heroes and represents the culmination of a truly remarkable six month journey for all involved.
Tickets for the event are now on general sale. Priced £5 for adults and £1 for children, they can be purchased in person from Helensburgh Swimming Pool. Online at www.helensburghheroes.com or via telephone: 07906 008064
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
We will be revealing more details about the Heroes recording and the premiere in the next couple of weeks.
