An Australian couple who regularly keep in contact with Luss Parish Church's Sunday morning service through the Internet from their home in Cooma, New South Wales, have had a real life experience of worshipping with the congregation.
On their first visit to Scotland, Jane and Ewen Macdonald interrupted a sightseeing tour to visit Luss, and meet the members of the congregation, who are part of the broadcasting team in person, at a dinner in the manse on Saturday night.
During the evening they planted a chestnut tree in the Glebe.
The Rev Dr Dane Sherrard welcomed the couple, who attended morning worship on Sunday and who afterwards met many members at a buffet lunch in the manse.
Jane and Ewen were thrilled that they were able to attend the church service in this the 1500th anniversary year of Christianity coming to Loch Lomond and were able to meet the congregation in "real time".
The usual time difference means they normally view the service in the late evening in the comfort of their home. The congregation, for its part, were likewise delighted that they could put a face to two long-distance fellow worshippers.
At the conclusion of the service, Web Master, Andy Simpson, on behalf of the congregation, presented Jane and Ewen with an inscribed quaich commemorating their visit.
