The group was given a grant of £3,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund for the project in November 2012 and have interviewed 17 people.
The trust has edited and compiled the interviews onto a DVD which will be premiered later this month.
A showing will take place on Friday, April 25 at 7pm in Centre 81, Garelochhead and again on Sunday, April 27 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm in the Osprey Suite of the Commodore Hotel.
Each of the showings are free, and Stewart Noble, chairman of the trust, said: “I am very grateful to Robert Bell of West Highland Photography in Helensburgh for all the help which he gave in editing the interviews and producing the DVD.
“I have found it fascinating to conduct these interviews and have learnt a lot about what life was like in Helensburgh in a very different time. I am sure that you will enjoy seeing the DVD too — so please put the dates in your diary right now.”
