The playgroup – the only one in Helensburgh run by mums – organised the party for the children to enjoy traditional seasonal fun including painting Easter eggs, rolling them, and taking part in an Easter egg hunt.

The group has run for 14 years and recently moved from the St Columba Church Halls to Park Church Halls, and takes place every Wednesday during term time.

Lorna Beattie, one of the organisers, told the Advertiser: “The party went well. All the children really enjoyed themselves and we said goodbye to two of our helpers who have been helping out for the past eight years.

“The Easter party was Barbara and Trish’s last day as their younger children are starting preschool after the holidays.”
